About Zilch & Contact Info
Zilch was born out of a desire for more and a desire for less. How does that work?
Tara Grieb is a school principal, wife and mom of 3 teens who wanted more for her family and more for her life. She wanted less waste and less stress. She always longed to express her creative side and work with people.
After stumbling on a zero waste store while on vacation her wheels started turning. A closet crunchy-granola environmentalist, Tara had always been trying little eco-friendly changes here and there at home. She makes soaps and bath salts for friends and family and seeing this store she knew she could merge her desire to help others and the environment while expressing her fun crunchy granola side to the world!
Soon after the wheels started turning Tara realized that she wanted more than an online shop. Zilch stands for so many things to her. Soon, Zilch hopes to grow to a brick and mortar site. Stay tuned for a podcast called Zilch Project talking about all things change, growth, back to basics and more.
We purposely select products from vendors who share the same ideals that we do, who care about the planet and want to reduce waste. From bags and cups to soaps and lotions we hand pick each vendor and each product.
PACKAGES & SHIPPING
We select boxes that are sturdy, eco friendly and can be reused so you can send us your empties! Our filler is a little unconventional- we shred our junk mail! There are way too many flyers, solicitations and advertisements. Why just send them to the landfill? We put them to use by shredding them and using them as packing in our boxes!
